About us

FOUNDER

A multifaceted interior designer, Kimberly Coombs is the creative force behind MiK Creative Design, a boutique interior design firm located in the Raleigh-Durham area. “MiK” pays homage to her Jamaican heritage, reflecting both her familial and cultural roots. With a diverse background, having lived in various cities across the U.S., Kimberly’s design style is a rich fusion of influences from the places and peoples she’s encountered throughout her career.

Blending her passion for interior spaces with a solid educational foundation, Kimberly is an NCIDQ licensed designer, holds degrees in both business and interior design, and is a certified graphic designer. She began her career at a specialty kitchen and bath showroom, which served as a springboard for her entrepreneurial spirit. Shortly after, she co-founded her first design firm, and the rest as they say, is herstory.

Now, with more than a decade of experience under her belt, Kimberly is looking toward the future with ambitious goals for MiK Creative. She envisions transforming the firm into a full
design-build company, and is actively working toward obtaining her contractor’s license to make this vision a reality.

Kimberly’s unique blend of design, business savvy, and cultural awareness sets her apart in the interior design world, and she continues to push boundaries in her field as she works toward expanding MiK Creative Design.
